Cater Cup - the history

Simon_Cater_presents_Cater_Cup_to_Taylor_Parkes.jpgThe Cater Cup competition is named after league secretary, vice chairman and treasurer, Simon Cater and was first introduced for the start of the 2021/22 campaign.

Upon completion of the league programme, teams from the lower end of the Championship table and those in the top half of the Development division compete in two groups.

The top two teams in each group go through to the semi final stages to battle it out for a place in the final of the league's newest cup competition.

The first winners of this trophy were Brandhall Colts (pictured) who defeated fellow Development division outfit Gornal Rangers 5-1.
